Bird by Bird

Artist Statement - “Bird by Bird” is an exhibit of encaustic paintings and oil sketches currently on display at the JH Center for the Arts Theater Gallery. Birds captivate us with their feathered beauty and ability to fly. In many cultures birds are the messengers between earth and sky, between humans and a spiritual realm. By using myth, legend, and poetry, these paintings explore our fascination with the themes of flight and migration.
